Who I Am, In A Nutshell: I am one of the many 20-somethings out there who is learning what it takes to make it in the real world, battling everything from creating secure financial status (an oxymoron) to simple things like 'What do I REALLY want to be when I grow up?' and trying to decide where I go from here. I have spent the past near-decade in research, working almost exclusively in the endocrinology and immunology fields (hormones are my passion, especially such nifty ones like triiodothyronine) and would like to find a decent research position in Austin, TX at some point in the near future, one which will, at best, fund me to get my PhD...although I'll probably end up having to pay for that myself, seeing as that's simply how life works. Despite so many setbacks and upsets in life, I remain stupidly optimistic and continue to believe that I am no one special, nothing spectacular, and, if I'm lucky, I may do great things in the future. In all honesty, I'm happy that way and will continue to be happy so long as I can continue to trudge along. All I really want out of life is good company and good memories. My Goodreads | ||||
